INTRODUCTION

Rockmax Polygard V3 is a one component, seamless liquid applied polyurethane based waterproofing membrane. The cured material provides highly flexible, root penetration resistance, excellent bonding to many substrates, crack bridging ability, elasticity with and include impervious waterproofing membrane. The material can be applied by roller or spray method.

  • APPLICATION AND INSTALLATION

    PREPARATION

    Concrete substrate must be sound, clean free from oil, grease, mould oil, dust, and loose particles and cement paste. Ensure the surface is dry and free from standing water. Investigate void, honeycomb, or crack on concrete substrate. All damaged must be repair prior to application. All joints and corner must be treated with Rockmax PUseal (Polyurethane sealant). All detailing must be treated to achieve correct system.

    PRIMMING

    Apply Rockmax Polygard Primer by roller at one coat at approximate coverage rate 0.2 kg/m 2 . Allow the prime coat to dry approximate 4 hours.

    APPLICATION

    By Roller/Brush:
    Stir Rockmax Polygard V3 by low speed electric mixer (400-500 rpm) at approximate 1-2 minute before application. Apply material by brush or roller with minimum two coats application. Allow each coat to dry at approximate 24 hours. The dry film thickness of membrane must be at minimum 0.25-0.30 mm thickness per coat.

    By Spray:
    Apply using airless spray equipment with pump. The consumption of material (spray) depended on environment, skill of worker, machines and equipment. Care must be taken. The material must be applied by trained and experienced applicators.

    POLYLASTIC SA1

    100% Spray Applied Polyurea For Waterproof & Protective Coating


    INTRODUCTION

    Rockmax Polylastic SA1 is a two component, 100% solid pure elastomeric polyurea coating. The cured membrane provides excellent flexible, durable, chemical resistance and corrosion protection. This material has been designed for machine application only.

    AREA OF USES

    Rockmax Polylastic SA1 can be used to waterproofing and protective coating for concrete structures such as roof decks, watertanks, basements, bridge decks, steel tanks, steel pipes., powe r plants, oil refineries, wood structures.

  • APPLICATION AND INSTALLATION

    PREPARATION

    Concrete substrate must be sound, clean free from oil, grease, mould oil, dust, and loose particles and cement paste. New concrete must be at minimum 28 days old. Do not apply when ambient temperature is below -10ºC degree. Ensure the surface is dry and free from standing water. Investigate void, honeycomb, or crack on concrete substrate. All damaged must be repair prior to application.

    Equipment

    This product may only be use by trained experience applicators/users. The equipment must be use is two part hot spray high pressure (>1500psi) machine only which can stable the hose the temperature from +60° C to +70°C. Pre-heat the equipment shall be +70 °C to +75 °C. Physical properties will be enhance when spray at more than 2500psi.

    MIXING

    Dose and mix with suitable two-part hot spray equipment. Both components must be heated up to between +60°C and +70°C. The accuracy of mixing and dosage must be controlled regularly with the equipment. Stir each part before load in to the equipment.

    APPLICATION

    The material can be sprayed over a broad range of substrate and ambient temperature. The limitation are in the ability of equipment to provide adequate pressure and stable temperature. Spray the material in multi direction (nort-south/east-west). Ensure the uniform of thickness.

    STORAGE

    Rockmax Mesh is a fiberglass mesh use in waterproofing application. The mesh increases reinforced, tensile, adhesion and puncture resistance to waterproofing system.

    EPOGARD W1

    Solvent Free Epoxy Coating For Drinking Water Retaining Structures


    INTRODUCTION

    Rockmax Epogard W1 is a two component, solvent free epoxy coating or lining. The cured material provides hard, gloss, smooth and watertight to concrete surfaces with and including abrasion and chemical resistance. It is suitable with potable or drinking water tank. The cured material is non-toxic.

    AREA OF USES

    Rockmax Epogard W1 is used for coating and lining concrete or steel surfaces such as waterproofing the internal of drinking water retaining tanks, waste water tanks, sewages, tunnels, reservoirs, retaining walls.

    APPLICATION AND INSTALLATION

    PREPARATION

    Concrete must be sound, clean and free from oil, grease, wax, cement paste, dust, dirt and any other contaminants. Concrete must be at least 28 days and minimum Compressive strength 25N/mm 2 and minimum tensile strength (pull off) at 1.5 N/mm 2 . The moisture content in concrete must be lower than 6%. The substrate should not have a relative humidity more than 85% at installation period. Total enclosed grinding, high water pressure jet, or scarifying must be employed followed by vacuuming. All holes and voids must be repaired prior to installation. Seal the surface with moisture barrier or modified epoxy cement in case of surface subject to rising damp or moisture movement.     PRIMING

    Apply Rockmax Epogard P by roller at one coat at approximate coverage rate 0.2 kg/m 2 . Allow the prime coat to dry approximate 4 hours. The difference type of primers must be considered according to substrate conditions.

    MIXING

    Stir base and hardener component separately approximate 10 second. Pour part A and part B together in the bucket and continue mixing for 3 minute until homogeneous. Avoid whipping air into the material. It is recommended that only full units to be used, that all components are thoroughly mixed. We do not recommend using partial kits and reduce or dilute materials.

    APPLICATION

    Applied Rockmax Epogard W1 by roller or stiff nylon type brush. Allow the first coat dry at approximate 5-6 hours (30ºC) and the second coat must be applied not more than 48 hours after the first coat application. When finished the application protect the coating from water.

    EPOGARD T

    Tar Epoxy Coating Chemical Resistance And Waterproofing Concrete


    INTRODUCTION

    Rockmax Epogard T is a two component epoxy coal tar waterproofing. Cured material provides high chemical resistance, good abrasion and durability to concrete structures. It can protect concrete from chemical s, dilute acids, salt waters, high chlorine concentrate, alkalis, solvents.

    AREA OF USES

    Rockmax Epogard T is used for coating and lining concrete such as water retaining tanks, waste water tanks, sewages, tunnels, reservoirs, retaining walls, septic tank, chemical tanks, sea water concrete structures, cooling tower tank.

    INTRODUCTION

    Maxshield 400S is an atatic polypropylene plastomeric (APP) modified bitumen waterproof sheet membrane and can be used for exposed surface. It is formulated from high grade modified bitumen with selected elastic polymer and reinforced with non woven polyester reinforcement. The membrane provides good elongation, high puncture resistance and good mechanical characteristic. The membrane top surface finished with special grade material such as sand or slate which can be exposed to the environmental with no require protections.

    Maxshield 400S should be install using gas torch. Slowly unrolled the membrane and flame torch the membrane until the bottom surface melt but do not over heat. Side overlap must be minimum 150mm. roll overlap joint must be minimum 100mm. Lap joint should be sealed by torch. All expansion joints, movement joints and all joints must be followed and allowed follow structural design. Other joints and end points must be allowed according to specifications. The membrane must be protected immediately after installation.

    Maxshield 400S must be installed by experiences, trained and approved applicators. Installation shall be strictly in accordance with manufacture method statement instruction.

Internal and external corners should be reinforced with 300mm membrane strip. End laps should be sealed. Ensure the membrane is perfectly stick and adhere with concrete substrate and no air pockets. It is recommended to protect the membrane by protection boards immediately. Do not exposed the membrane to direct UV for long period. Maxshield 150W must be installed by experiences, trained and approved applicators.

    MIXING

    Mix Rockmax Waterplug with water at (water : waterplug = 1 : 5 by weight).

    APPLICATION

    Cut concrete substrate to receive V shape. Fill Rockmax Waterplug immediately after mixed. Wait for setting at 90 seconds. Remove all excess material on surface with and including leveling and making good surface.

  • APPLICATION AND INSTALLATION

    PREPARATION

    Substrate must be sound, clean, free from oil, grease, mould oil, dust and loose particles. Ensure the surface is dry and free from water saturated.

    PRIMING

    Mixer must use low speed drill mixer (500 rpm) with and including good quality steel paddle. Make sure all tools and equipments are in good conditions and clean.

    Dilute Rockmax Roofgard with water at 1 (Rockmax Roofgard) : 1 (water) by volume. Stir 2 part together approximate 1-3 minute until homogenius. Prime the surface by brush or roller at coverage rate 0.5kg/m2. Allow the prime coat to dry before top coat application.

    APPLICATION

    Apply first coat of Rockmax Roofgard to the primed surface by brush or roller. Allow first coat to dry approximate 60-90 minute. Apply second coat and allow to dry. For watertight apply 2-3 coats. Allow to completely dry for 4-6 hours prior to light traffic

    CLEANING

    Clean all tools and equipments immediately with kerosene or solvent.
